Edward Pierce can fit into the lavish lifestyle of Victorian England as well as the poverty ridden one. Edward Pierce charms people, with his good looks and smart ideas, of every social standing as he plots the crime of the century. He is willing to risk it all as he takes on England's pride, the steam locomotive, to steal a copious amount of gold. Will he pull it off or will the steam locomotive get the better of him? I enjoyed The Great Train Robbery  because I am a huge fan of criminal shows especially "Leverage." "Leverage" focuses on the stealing part of criminal activities. But specifically on the thieves and not the cops or the police. The Great Train Robbery  gave me an insight on how robberies in the "olden" days were done. I also enjoyed the way Michael Crichton included bits of history that weren't pertinent to the story because it established the time period of Victorian England better.
